DUI Wolfpack Announced For St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Police Department is gearing up for a one-night operation meant to take impaired motorists off the roads.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Tampa Bay area residents who plan on kicking off the weekend by doing a little partying in St. Petersburg will want to take care to designate a driver.

The St. Petersburg Police Department has announced its intent to run a one-night DUI Wolfpack operation Friday night and into Saturday morning. The agency hasn’t released the exact times it plans enhanced enforcement. It also isn’t saying just what parts of town it plans to target.

“This operation is part of the St. Petersburg Police Department's commitment to reduce deaths, injuries, and property damage associated with traffic crashes related to impaired driving,” the agency noted in an email to media. “Remove Intoxicated Drivers USA, Inc. (RID) will be supporting law enforcement during this operation.”
