The Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society presents one of its most popular events this weekend. Each has six sites that showcase the beauty of native-plant habitats that are environmentally- and wildlife-friendly, using less water, fertilizer and pesticides. Talk to homeowners about what inspired them and how they accomplished these creative changes to their yards.
Today's tour showcases six yards in St. Petersburg. Purchase tickets the day of the event from the Craftsman House Gallery a half-hour before the tour begins at 8am. You will receive a map of the locations at the time of purchase.
