Discussion: Photojournalism

The museum welcomes Kenny Irby, the Poynter Institute's senior faculty for visual journalism and newly appointed Director of Community Relations & Diversity Programs.

Irby will use photos in the exhibit "Picturing a New Society" to discuss photojournalism: defining it; talking about how a photojournalist can shape ideas about life; defining the role of the photo editor; and discussing the line between photojournalism and propaganda, and authentic vs. fabricated images.
