Guardian ad Litem

Abused and Neglected Children Need Advocates - Become a Guardian ad Litem.  Visit the St. Pete main Library, on Saturday October 15 at 2 PM, to learn more about the program.  Over 1,000 abused and neglected children in Pinellas County do not have a Guardian ad Litem advocating for them in the courts, and in the child welfare system. The Guardian ad Litem visits the child once a month, becomes familiar with the child's case, and makes recommendations to the court to help ensure the child has a safe, caring, and stable home.  No prior experience is necessary, you will be well trained and supported by an experienced supervisory and legal staff.  Once trained, volunteers spend an average of ten hours a month.  You may call 727.464.6528 for other dates and locations, or go to www.guardianadlitem6,org to submit an application.
