Wordier Than Thou: a storytelling open mic event

We'll feature a handful of local writers with an open mic period, where anyone can sign up to read, sandwiched in between them. And unlike most open mics around, which tend to be geared towards poetry and music, this one will focus on writing in its longer form. So come on down and read your latest short story, or maybe read an excerpt from the tell-all memoir you're working on or that never-ending novel. Heck, you can even come down and read from your diary. Just keep the haikus and limericks -- though we appreciate the artistry -- at home.
