Motorcyclist Killed In St. Pete Crash Identified
The man was killed Thursday morning at the intersection of 16th Street and 22nd Avenue North.

St. Petersburg, FL – A 21-year-old man is dead following a motorcycle crash in St. Petersburg Thursday morning.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, Eddie Lamuel Lee Curry was heading south on 16th Street, approaching 22nd Avenue North, around 10:37 a.m. At that time, a Toyota Corolla driven by Diana Hicks Williams, 67, was heading north on 16th Street.
As the traffic light at 22nd Avenue North and 16th Street cycled from green to red for north and southbound traffic, witnesses told police Curry accelerated his 2015 Suzuki.

Williams had begun to make a left turn into the business parking lot at 2140 16th St. N. as the motorcycle accelerated, an email from police said.
Curry crashed into the front of William’s car, police said. He was thrown from the bike and hit a tree.

Curry was pronounced dead at the scene. Williams suffered minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment, police noted.
The crash closed the intersection of 16th Street and 22nd Avenue for a time Thursday morning.
