Flooding Closes Several St. Petersburg Roads
Motorists are being asked to avoid a few areas that remain flooded following Tropical Storm Colin.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Motorists traveling through St. Petersburg Tuesday morning will find a number of streets off limits thanks to flood waters.
St. Petersburg Police are asking residents to steer clear of the following roads that were under several inches of water as of Tuesday morning:
- 38th Avenue North and 4th Street North, cars are reportedly stuck on the road
- Dr. Martin Luther King Street North from 54th Avenue to 74th Avenue, flooding
- Shore Acres Boulevard and 40th Avenue Northeast, flooding
- 15th Avenue South to 18th Avenue South from 40th Street to 42nd Street, flooding
The entire Tampa Bay area remains under a flood watch until 8 p.m. Tuesday. Showers are anticipated throughout the day Tuesday with the possibility of more thunderstorms, as well.

Flooding has been reported across the region, in such areas as St. Petersburg, downtown Tampa, Bayshore, West Pasco County and Bradenton, among others.
Scattered thunderstorms are also anticipated throughout the day on Wednesday and into the evening hours. Rain is expected to continue on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.
