Free Admission at Florida State Parks
Of 160 Florida State Parks, 159 have free admission today. The one holdout: The Skyway Fishing Pier, which will charge full admission.
Florida has 160 state parks. Of those, 159 will be open for free Sunday, in honor of National Recreation and Parks Month. Around Tampa Bay, state parks at Egmont Key, Werner-Boyce Salt Springs and Weeki Wachee Springs will admit people for free all day.
The only park that will not be participating in the free admission day is the Skyway Fishing Pier, just under the Skyway Bridge in St. Petersburg. The Skyway Park will charge full admission.
Other Florida state parks around Tampa Bay that will offer free admission include the following: Caladesi Island, Honeymoon Island, Cockroach Bay, Terra Ceia, Little Manatee River, Lake Manatee and Gamble Plantation.
