Gulf Coast Builder's Exchange collects gifts for Boys and Clubs of Sarasota County
GCBX recently hosted its holiday social where members donated gifts to benefit 150 children at the Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota County.

The Gulf Coast Builder’s Exchange (GCBX), a not-for-profit trade organization, recently hosted its holiday networking social where members donated gifts to benefit 150 children at the Boys and Girls Club of Sarasota County, a nonprofit that enables young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
On Wednesday, Dec. 2, over 150 GCBX members and guests gathered at the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, donning their holiday attire with gifts in hand to celebrate the upcoming year. Members also socialized with existing and potential members during the event.
“We are extremely thankful for the philanthropic spirit of our members,” said Mary Dougherty-Slapp, executive director for the Lakewood Ranch-based trade organization. “It’s through events like these that we can not only shine a spotlight on our successes over the past year but also give back to the community that enables our members to operate successful businesses.”
