Halfacre Construction Company finishes construction for the Florida Department of Military Affairs

Halfacre Construction Company recently wrapped up the construction of a building for the Florida Department of Military Affairs in Tampa.

Halfacre Construction Company (HalfacreConstruction.com), the area’s oldest, most established, locally owned and operated private commercial construction company, recently wrapped up the construction of an 8,200-square-foot building for the Florida Department of Military Affairs in Tampa, Fla.

The eight-month $1,920,000-project included the construction of a new operations and meeting center equipped with secure and non-secure data lines for the Florida Department of Military Affairs. The design and build for the permanent construction included all utility services, information systems, storm drainage, parking and site improvements. The design of the project was also required to meet LEED Silver certification.

Located on the MacDill Air Force Base, the operations and meeting center was designed to meet industry standards as well as local, MacDill, state and federal building code requirements. The design also included a decorative stained glass window.

Halfacre Construction Company served as the construction manager on the project and teamed up with Bhide & Hall Architects. To date, Halfacre Construction Company has completed six projects on MacDill Air Force Base.
