Labor and Employment Attorney Lisa McGlynn Joins Fisher Phillips’ Tampa Office

McGlynn moves to Tampa from the Fort Lauderdale office of Fisher Phillips

TAMPA (November 11, 2016) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm, has added Lisa McGlynn as an associate in its Tampa office. McGlynn comes to the Tampa office from the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, where she gained significant experiencing representing employers in a wide variety of labor and employment related claims.

McGlynn will continue to advise employers on workplace issues, including employment discrimination, wage and hour disputes, family and medical leave issues, data security and workplace privacy, sexual harassment, and retaliation and wrongful termination.

McGlynn has been successful in defending employers in state and federal courts. She has also represented employers before administrative agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Florida Commission on Human Relations (FCHRA), the Florida Division of Administrative Hearings, and various local agencies.

Before joining Fisher Phillips in 2013, McGlynn was an Associate for Allen, Norton & Blue, P.A. in the Miami area. She previously served as an Honors Attorney for the Florida Office of the Attorney General in Tallahassee.

McGlynn earned her juris doctor, cum laude, from the Frederic G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida in 2008. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature, cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2005.

An active community member, McGlynn is highly involved with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and organizes a team for the organization’s Great Strides Walk each year to raise money to cure the disease.
