Man Airlifted After Saw Hits Powerline
Power was expected to be out in the area of 25th Avenue North until sometime Friday evening after the accident.

St. Petersburg, FL — A 25-year-old man was airlifted to a local hospital following a tree-trimming accident Friday afternoon.
According to the St. Petersburg Police Department, the man, who works for a tree service company, accidentally touched his saw to a powerline outside of 6351 25th Ave. N. around 3 p.m. The man was last listed in serious condition.
“Duke Energy is trying to restore power to the surrounding area,” the police department wrote in an email to media.

Power restoration may take a few hours, the agency noted.
