Mike Alstott Delivers Thanksgiving to Firefighters

The former Tampa Bay Buccaneer made the special deliveries to St. Pete fire stations Monday.

While most people will be home enjoying Thanksgiving with their families on Thursday those who dedicate their lives to helping others may find themselves on the clock.

Recognizing that the Mike Alstott Family Foundation and Publix teamed up to deliver all the ingredients necessary for a proper Thanksgiving feast to fire stations throughout Pinellas County on Monday. Firefighters assigned to the City of St. Petersburg’s stations even had their meals delivered personally by the former Tampa Bay Buccaneer running back, best known on the field as the “A-Train.”

“A very special thank you goes out to former NFL Buccaneer Mike Alstott,” St. Petersburg Fire Rescue’s Facebook page noted. “Mike personally dropped off Thanksgiving dinner to every St. Petersburg fire station today.”
