Motorcyclist, 21, Succumbs To Injuries From Tyrone Blvd. Crash

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 21-year-old man died as a result of injuries suffered in a Monday motorcycle crash on Tyrone Boulevard in St. Petersburg.
David Lee Jeffrey was pronounced dead Tuesday at 4:15 p.m., the St Petersburg Police Department said today.
The man was transported to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with injuries described as life-threatening after he was thrown 90 feet when his Suzuki motorcycle collided Monday at 9:26 p.m. with a 2012 Nissan Altima that was making a left turn onto 33rd Avenue North in front of the motorcycle.

"Due to the high rate of speed, Jeffrey was unable to stop or avoid (the Nissan) and the front of the motorcycle struck the right rear of the Nissan," police said. "As a result, Jeffrey was thrown from the motorcycle and landed over 90 feet away from the point of impact."
No information was released whether the Nissan driver, a 61-year-old man, suffered any injuries.
