Liberty opened its first education center in January at The Villages in Sumter County. The company has received approval from the Florida Department of Health to open four other Florida facilities including one in South Tampa, 4306 S. Dale Mabry Highway, scheduled to open at the end of this month. The other three will be located in Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers and Port St. Lucie.
Additionally, in February, Liberty purchased a 387-acre parcel of land in Gainesville, previously owned by Alico Citrus Nursery LLC, which will become the home of the new Liberty 360° Innovation Campus featuring state-of-the-art greenhouses and processing facilities.
The opening of that facility “firmly establishes Liberty as one of the leading medical cannabis providers in Florida,” said Scorsis.
Liberty has added three new greenhouses to the facility, providing 11,000 square feet of production space and doubling the company’s production capabilities.
All Liberty’s CEC locations in Florida will offer a variety of products and brands such as Aphria, Mary’s Medicinals and Incredibles edibles. The cannabis will be sold in state-approved forms including vapes, oils, tinctures and capsules.
This is the fourth medical marijuana dispensary in St. Petersburg. The city is also home to Trulieve, 8435 4th St. N.; Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers of Florida, 222 2nd St. N.; and Green Health, 6527 Central Ave.
