Photos Released of Bay Hopping Burglar

He's accused of stealing credit cards in Tampa and then going to St. Petersburg to use them.

The St. Petersburg Police Department is looking for a little help identifying a man it says likes to travel to find burglary targets.

The man is suspected of burglarizing cars throughout Tampa and then crossing the Bay to use stolen credit cards in St. Petersburg. The man, police department spokesman Mike Puetz said, seems to only remove the credit cards, but leaves the victims’ wallets and purses otherwise intact.

“Consequently the victims were not immediately aware their credit cards were missing until unauthorized charges began to appear on their credit statements,” Puetz wrote in an email to media.
