Residents Invited To See Abercrombie Park Expansion Plans

Residents will be able to learn about the city's plans for the expansion of the 11-acre Abercrombie Park.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- Community members will be able to learn about the City of St. Petersburg's plans for the expansion of the 11-acre Abercrombie Park following the purchase of the Kuttler property.

The Kuttler property at 8336 40th Ave. N. is adjacent to the park and is home to mounds containing American Indian artifacts. The 2.3-acre property was previously owned by St. Petersburg College President Carl Kuttler.

An archeological dig on the property in 1999 revealed a treasure trove of pristine Indian artifacts within the shell mounds on the property.
