Second Arrest Made In Fatal Memorial Day Shooting: St. Pete Police
A second man was arrested and charged with second-degree murder for the fatal shooting of another man in downtown St. Pete, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A second man has been arrested for a fatal Memorial Day shooting in downtown St. Petersburg.
Matthew Williams, 36, was charged with second-degree murder, attempted murder in the second degree, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and violation of probation, St. Petersburg police said.
Jacob Carreras, 25, was arrested earlier this week in connection with the May 25 fatal shooting of 29-year-old Peter-Austin Afentakis.

Carrera was charged with second-degree murder.
Carreras and Williams got into an argument with Afentakis while on the street in the 100 block of 1st Avenue N. just before 3 a.m., investigators said.

Both suspects shot at Afentakis, who later died from his injuries, police said.
A second victim suffered a minor injury in the shooting.
