Skimmer Found At St. Pete 7-Eleven Gas Pump: Police
St. Petersburg police ask anyone who bought gas at the 7-Eleven where a skimmer was found on a gas pump to check their account for fraud.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A credit card skimmer was found on a gas pump Monday at a 7-Eleven by a St. Petersburg police officer, authorities said.
Detectives advise people who bought gas at 150 Pinellas Bayway to check their bank account for fraudulent charges.
Police said it is unknown how long the skimmer had been on the gas pump but that it is possible the device could have been there for more than a month.

Investigators say customers can avoid being victimized by credit card skimmers by paying for gas inside a store with the cashier.
Anyone who purchased gas from the 7-Eleven gas pumps at 150 Pinellas Bayway and believes unauthorized funds have been withdrawn from their account should call the St. Petersburg Police Department at 727-893-7790; callers are asked to mention report number 2020-035596.
