St. Pete Police Nab Accused Baby Napper
St. Petersburg Police have arrested the man accused of stealing a car with a baby inside on Monday, April 23.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- St. Petersburg Police have arrested the man accused of stealing a car with a baby inside on Monday, April 23. Police apprehended Rashad Webb, 19, Thursday, April 26 driving another stolen car.
Officers from the Violent Crimes Task Force spotted the stolen rented Toyota Corolla just before 2 a.m. When they tried to stop him, Webb reportedly drove off at a high rate of speed. Officers used stop sticks to flatten the car's tires and Webb ultimately stopped in the 2200 block of 15th Avenue South and surrendered.

Webb was wanted for stealing a car with a baby inside on Monday from the Gateway on 4th Apartments.
He said when he realized the baby was in the car, he dropped the baby off in a parking lot where the child was found by a photojournalist.

Webb was charged with: child abuse, occupied vehicle burglary, two counts of auto theft, fleeing and eluding and driving without a valid driver's license.
Webb has been arrested 27 times in Pinellas County since he was 10 years old.
