St. Pete Trash Collection Changes, Memorial Day Closings
Some St. Petersburg facilities will open on Memorial Day, but residents will need to prepare for a change in trash collection days.

ST. PETESBURG, FL — As St. Petersburg prepares for the long Memorial Day weekend, the city has announced a number of closings and a bit of a shuffle in trash collection dates.
While all St. Petersburg city government offices will be closed Monday, May 30 in honor of the holiday, some facilities and emergency services will remain open.
Residential garbage customers who normally have their trash picked up on Mondays will have to wait until Tuesday, the city said in an email to media. As for those with normal Tuesday pick up dates, their day is moving to Wednesday just for Memorial Day week. The temporary shuffling affects both trash and recycling.
