Sunscreen Film Festival

This music festival comes to Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium Friday and Saturday. In addition to music acts, there will be a silent disco, food, vendors and activities.

Tree Fair 2024
People for Trees hosts Tree Fair 2024 Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the North Port City Center Green. Hundreds of native trees will be available for sale. There will also be food trucks, vendors, live music, an “Ask an Arborist” booth and kids’ activities.
Green Thumb Festival
The annual Green Thumb Festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m .to 4 p.m., at St. Petersburg’s Walter Fuller Park. There will be trees for sale, a free plant giveaway, a butterfly tent, educational programs, a flower show and more.
St. Pete Italian Fest
This free Italian festival takes over the St. Pete Pier Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate Italian culture with food, live music, traditional dancing and a display of exotic Italian cars.
Sarasota Anime Fest
This anime collectors’ mecca convention takes place Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Sarasota’s Carlisle Inn Hotel. Exhibitors will have anime candy, magazines, toys, video games, anime manga, artwork, apparel and jewelry. There will also be special guests and cosplay.
Independent Bookstore Day
Various Florida booksellers will join those across the U.S. in celebrating Independent Bookstore Day Saturday. Many of the participating stores are selling exclusive books and literary items Saturday, while others host events, including contests, author visits and more.
Cheesesteak Festival
3 Car Garage Brewing in Bradenton celebrates cheesesteaks with a food truck competition Saturday. Judging takes place from 3 to 4 p.m. and food will be available to purchase starting at 4:30 p.m.
Fashion Funds the Cure
Join the National Pediatric Cancer Foundationfor the Fashion Funds the Cure Fashion Show at The Motor Enclave in Tampa on Saturday, 6 p.m.
Los Vinos de Dali
The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg hosts its annual wine fundraiser Saturday, 7 p.m. Stroll around the museum while sampling wine from around the world and gourmet bites.
De Soto Grand Parade
This historic Manatee County parade, one of the oldest in the Southeast, marches through Bradenton at 7:30 p.m. with more than 150 entries, including illuminated floats. Catch a glimpse of this year’s new Hernando de Soto, Captain of the Crewe and their newly crowned Queen and Princess.
Uni-Tea Dance
This fundraiser for the TransNetwork offers food, drinks and drag Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m., at Coastal Creative in St. Petersburg.
