Teen Accidentally Shot In Side By Brother's Gun In St. Petersburg
The 16-year-old is hospitalized in stable condition after the gun fired as the pair wrestled in their home, police said.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – A 16-year-old was accidentally shot in the side by his brother's gun as the two "play-wrestled" Thursday night in their St. Petersburg home, according to police.
The elder brother, 22, had a handgun tucked in his waistband that discharged just after 11 p.m. at the home on the 600 block of 44th Street, the St. Petersburg Police Department said.
The injured teen was struck in the left side and was driven by his brother to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg, where he currently is listed in stable condition, police said.

Major Crimes Unit detectives investigated and determined the shooting to be an accidental.
The 22-year-old has a valid State of Florida concealed firearm license, police added.
