1. Lost Florida Painting Has Been Found 103 Years Later. It Was Hanging in a Church in Greece (people.com) — Tarpon Springs leaders are working to bring home a century‑old religious painting that once hung in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral but disappeared after being sent to Greece for restoration in 1923. Mayor John Koulianos recently located the icon in a Greek church while also advancing plans to twin Tarpon Springs with the island of Aegina, and officials now await church approval to return it to Florida.
   

2. Missing 22-year-old boater found dead in Lake Tarpon: PCSO (wfla.com) — Authorities in Tarpon Springs say a 22-year-old man reported missing on Lake Tarpon Friday was found dead Sunday morning after an extensive marine and dive search. Deputies began looking when his test-drive boat was discovered abandoned near Juniper Bay, and investigators currently believe the death was accidental pending autopsy results from the Medical Examiner.
   

3. A private school group in Pinellas county is asking the community for help (baynews9.com) — Families in Tarpon Springs are being asked to help keep BLI Community Schools' three Pinellas micro-school campuses running smoothly as they struggle with delayed state scholarship payments and rising transportation costs. The school, which many local parents credit with transforming their children's learning, is fundraising for vans and buses so students can reliably get to class and more kids can move off the waitlist.
   

4. Pinellas Football Week 6: Clearwater Keeps Rolling (ngscsports.com) — Tarpon Springs High's football team strengthened its district standing with a 24-8 win over Dunedin, improving to 4-2 and staying firmly in the District 3A-11 race. The roundup also tracks how other Pinellas programs, including Clearwater, Countryside, and Palm Harbor University, fared in a pivotal Week 6 as playoff pictures begin to take shape.
