• UF/IFAS Extension Hernando County Office to Host 11th Annual Coastal Cleanup (hernandosun.com) — A coastal cleanup just down the road from Weeki Wachee is set for Saturday, Sept. 19, at Linda Pedersen Park in Spring Hill, and volunteers of all ages are welcome. You can help clear trash by land or water, but must bring your own boat or kayak if working on the water. Supplies like bags and gloves are provided, and local sponsor Get Up and Go Kayaking Weeki Wachee is helping support the effort.
