Local Heroes Honored at Lake Forest Park BBQ Celebration

Plates were piled high with freshly grilled burgers while engaging conversations flowed between residents, law enforcement, and emergency first responders as Lake Forest Park Senior Living gathered together for its National Law Enforcement Day BBQ celebration this January. Residents and staff welcomed the St. Lucie County Police Department and All County Ambulance Service as they shared stories and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the community’s incredible public service departments during this special occasion.

Newly sworn-in Sheriff, Richard Del Toro, toured the community and had meaningful exchanges with the excited residents. He listened to their stories, answered questions about local law enforcement, and thanked them for their support of the department.

During the two-hour celebration, Sheriff Del Toro, police officers, and emergency personnel first responders enjoyed BBQ meals both on-site and to-go. Residents shared lunch with first responders, reflecting on their dedicated work and positive impact on the Fort Pierce community.
