• Wildwood man dies in U.S. 301 crash in Sumter County (dailycommercial.com) — An 18-year-old man from Wildwood died late Monday after his pickup crossed the center line on U.S. 301 in Sumter County and struck another truck nearly head-on. Troopers say the other driver, from Webster, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim’s name has not yet been released as the investigation continues. 
• Steven R. Williams (villages-news.com) — Wildwood is mourning Steven “Randy” Randell Williams, a 69-year-old lifelong Floridian and retired law enforcement officer who served Sumter County, Wildwood and Howey-in-the-Hills for over four decades. Remembered for his faith, outdoor passions, and K-9 training work, he leaves behind his wife Mary Crystal, extended family, and many friends who cherished him.
