• Suspected drug dealer stopped with marijuana and large wads of cash (villages-news.com) — Wildwood Police stopped a driver on West Clarke Street and say they found marijuana plus several thousand dollars in rubber-banded bundles, which they described as consistent with street-level drug sales. The Eustis man was arrested on marijuana and paraphernalia charges, then booked into the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting bond.
   

• Document details molestation accusation against man arrested at Wildwood pipe company (villages-news.com) — A Lady Lake man was arrested while working at Charlotte Pipe and Foundry in Wildwood after a warrant accused him of lewd or lascivious molestation of a juvenile. Wildwood Police took him into custody at the CR 124A facility before he was transferred to Lake County, where he later posted bond and awaits an October court appearance.
   

• Sumter County Man Arrested for Distribution of Methamphetamine (justice.gov) — A 32-year-old Wildwood man has been federally indicted on three counts of distributing and possessing with intent to distribute large quantities of methamphetamine, with a potential sentence of 15 years to life on each count. Investigators from DEA and Marion County’s drug task force handled the case, and he remains detained while the charges move through court.
