• Church proposal moves to Orange County commission (orangeobserver.com) — Orange County's zoning board has recommended denying a proposed Coptic church on South Hiawassee Road after nearby Woodlands of Windermere residents raised traffic and safety concerns. Despite the 4-1 vote against the special exception, the project now heads to the Orange County Commission for a final decision later this month, which could still affect neighborhood traffic and land use near Windermere.
