• Synagogue, Daycare and Townhomes Win Approval from Planning Board (winterparkvoice.com) — Winter Park’s Planning & Zoning Board has unanimously approved plans for the city’s first permanent Chabad synagogue, an 80-seat sanctuary with a 60-child daycare and five townhomes at Morse and Knowles. After extensive public comment about traffic, parking, rooftop noise, and tax impacts, the board added conditions like underground daycare drop-off and limits on rooftop use. The project now heads to the City Commission for final approval.
   

• 1 dead in downtown Winter Park SunRail crash, police say (fox35orlando.com) — A person was struck and killed by a SunRail train Wednesday afternoon at the W. Morse Boulevard station in downtown Winter Park, according to police. The crash halted train P327B for at least two hours and forced SunRail to bus passengers between the AdventHealth and Maitland stations while authorities investigated and withheld the victim’s identity.
