2 Trader Joe's Cookie Products May Contain Rocks: What To Know In GA

Customers who may have purchased the affected cookies are asked to not consume them, and instead, discard them or return them to the store.

GEORGIA — Two cookie products sold at Trader Joe's were recalled Friday for possibly containing rocks, the grocery store chain said in a news release.

The affected products were listed as follows:

  • Almond Windmill Cookies with sell by dates of Oct. 19 through Oct. 21
  • Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies with sell by dates of Oct. 17 through Oct. 21

Trader Joe's was notified of the potential rock contamination from its supplier of the cookies, according to the release.

The products were removed from the stores and were destroyed, company representatives said in the release. However, anyone who may have bought or received donations of the cookies are asked to not eat them.

"We urge you to discard the product or return it to any Trader Joe’s for a full refund," the company said in the release.

Trader Joe's operates Georgia stores in Marietta, Atlanta, Athens, Norcross, Roswell and Sandy Springs.
