Atlanta Nonprofit Seeks Youth Leadership

NPU-V Shared Vision for Youth seeks a young man & woman between 12-18. Earn $ and learn. Organize your community around what matters to you!

Foreverfamily, Inc. is a 30-year-old Atlanta area youth development 501(c)3 nonprofit. The organization's mission, "surrounding children with the love of family." And it does so many a ways. Most notably, its family visitation program.

The agency is a recent grant recipient for the development of a youth leadership and community engagement initiative. What they're calling the NPU-V Shared Vision for Youth, seeks to convene youth and community organization leaders together to formulate a mutual vision and action plan for youth leadership and engagement in the six neighborhoods comprising Atlanta's Neighborhood Planning Unit V (NPU-V). Those neighborhoods are: Capitol Homes, Adair Park, Mechanicsville, Peoplestown, Pittsburgh, and Summer Hill. The agency is soliciting the help of the community to help it in identifying two outstanding youth leaders, a boy and a girl, between the ages of 12-18 , to take on the Youth Leader roll and be trained in social justice activism and organization. The two participants receive a monetary stipend for their participation.
