Child, 3 Adults Dead In Fiery GA Wrong-Way Crash Identified: GSP
A car traveling south in the northbound lanes of GA-67 hit another vehicle head on, leading to the deadly crash, authorities say.
JENKINS COUNTY, GA — The four people, including a 3-year-old child, who were killed Saturday in a fiery wrong-way crash have been identified, the Georgia State Patrol said Tuesday.
The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. at GA-67 near Gays Hill Church Road in Jenkins County, authorities said.
A vehicle heading south in the northbound lanes of GA-67 hit head on another vehicle going north, authorities said. The first vehicle then burst into flames, authorities said.

Two adults in the second vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene, as well as an adult passenger and a 3-year-old child in the first vehicle.
The GSP identified those who died as Jacquelyn Johnson, 61, of Statesboro; William Johnson, 61, of Millen; Shyniece Sanders, 30, and Zoeigh Wright, 3 - both of San Antonio, Texas.

The crash shut down the road for about five hours, authorities said.
Jenkins County is located 50 miles south of Augusta and 79 miles north of Savannah. Its county seat is Millen.
