Georgia Leads Nation With School-Record 13 Players Selected In 2026 MLB Draft
Here's a look at who all the Bulldogs will be sending to the next level after this weekend's MLB Draft.

ATHENS, GA — The University of Georgia baseball program capped off its historic season by leading the nation with a school-record 13 players selected in the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft over the weekend.
The Bulldogs had three players chosen during the opening day of the draft Saturday before adding 10 more selections during Sunday's final rounds, eclipsing the previous program record of 11 draft picks set in 2009.
This draft class for Georgia all ranks fourth all-time for most players selected in a single draft, trailing only Arizona State (21, 1981), Texas (16, 1989) and Stanford (15, 1987).

Catcher Daniel Jackson, the winner of the 2026 Golden Spikes Award and reigning SEC Player of the Year, headlined Georgia's draft class by becoming the first Bulldog off the board on the opening day.
The record-setting draft class also comes on the heels of one of the most successful seasons in school history.

Georgia finished the 2026 campaign with a 53-14 overall record and won the Southeastern Conference baseball tournament before advancing to the College World Series and losing in the semifinals to eventual national champion Oklahoma.
