At Least 4 Killed In Shooting In Small Georgia Town, Suspect Still At Large

Henry County authorities are searching for Andre Longmore who they say killed three men and a woman Saturday morning.

HAMPTON, GA — At least four people have been killed in a mass shooting in Hampton, a small community located south of Atlanta, according to reports. The suspect remains at large, authorities said.

Henry County officials confirmed there was an "active shooter situation" around 10:45 a.m. Saturday in the Dogwood Lakes subdivision of Hampton.

Three men and a woman were killed in the shooting. Authorities have not released their names pending notification of families.

During a news conference Saturday, Hampton Police Chief James Turner said authorities are searching for Andre Longmore. According to a WSB-TV report, authorities described Longmore as 5-feet 10-inches tall. He was wearing a dark shirt and was last seen in a black 2017 GMC Arcadia with license plate number DHF756, WSB reported.

Longmore is considered armed and dangerous, according to WSB.

Sheriff Reginald Scandrett says the sheriff’s office is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to Longmore's arrest and prosecution.

He also addressed the suspect directly: “Wherever you are, we will hunt you down in whatever hole you may be hiding in and bring you into custody. Period.”

No additional information was immediately available.

Several local law enforcement agencies were assisting with the investigation as was the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
