Mom, Teen Daughter Killed In GA Crash That Injured 5
Two people who were critically injured had to be airlifted to a hospital while three others suffered non-threatening injuries.
ELBERTON, GA — The mother and daughter killed in a two-car crash in Elberton that injured five other people were identified Tuesday by the Elbert County Coroner's Office.
The fatal crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Monday in the area of Jones Ferry Road and Athens Highway, according to the coroner's office. Details that led to the deadly crash are unknown.
Elbert County Coroner Chuck Almond identified those who died as Breanna D. Parham, 33, and 16-year-old her daughter, Rhiana J. Ramey - both of Elberton. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Almond's office said two people were airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital in critical condition while three other people were taken to Elbert Memorial Hospital with non-threatening injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.

"Our condolences go out to the family and friends of Mrs. Parham and Ms. Ramey," Almond's office said in a statement.
Elberton is about 40 minutes outside of Athens.
