GA Weather: Snow, Showers In Wet Forecast For Part Of State

A meteorologist told Patch the weather in Georgia is seeking to be "pretty active" though no severe hazards are forecast.

GEORGIA — In a continuing wet trend, more rain is ahead for parts of the Peach State while the north Georgia mountains could get a rain/snow mixture Wednesday night, forecasters said Tuesday.

The National Weather Service's Ansley Long told Patch there is a "pretty active weather pattern coming up" in the next week.

But do not fret — there are no severe hazards with the forthcoming rain, which is set to last through Monday, Long said.

Once the patchy frost passes overnight Tuesday, showers and clouds could fill the Georgia sky Wednesday due to a frontal system, according to the weather service.

The mix of potential showers and snow forecast for Wednesday night into Thursday for north Georgia should not have a widespread impact, Long said.
