Teen Dead, 3 Injured In GA After-Prom Party Shooting: GBI
A 17-year-old was charged on suspicion of murder in connection with the fatal Georgia shooting that killed a 15-year-old, the GBI said.
FITZGERALD, GA — A 17-year-old is facing charges in connection with a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 15-year-old and injured three others at a Fitzgerald after-prom party, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said Sunday.
The shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday in the 3000 block of East Pine Street, said the GBI, whose assisted was requested by Fitzgerald Police.
When officers arrived, they saw that a 19-year-old and three minors had been shot, the GBI said. The four Ben Hill County residents were taken to a local hospital, where Chyell Paulk was pronounced dead, the GBI said.

The suspect, who was not identified, was charged on suspicion of felony murder, three counts of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, the GBI said.
Once the investigation is complete, the case file will be given to the Crisp Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, the GBI said.
