10-Year-Old Twins Die In GA House Fire: Reports

"They came together, and God took them back home together," a neighbor said.​

MANCHESTER, GA — A fire over the weekend killed 10-year-old twins and critically injured their mother at an Ira Parks Way home, per media reports.

The fire ignited Sunday, and a girl died at the scene, WTVM 9 reported. Her brother died at a hospital. Their mother was recovering at an Atlanta hospital, the outlet reported.

Trudie Childs, the grandmother of the twins, identified them to Channel 2 Action News as Breonna and Breon Childs. She said they were her angels, according to the report.

WTVM 9 spoke with Victoria Favors, a family friend and neighbor.

“I’m a twin, I have a twin sister, and I couldn’t imagine losing mine," Favors told the outlet. "They came together, and God took them back home together."

The cause of the fire wasn't immediately known.
