GEORGIA — A University of Georgia football player faces misdemeanor charges after being accused of participating in a viral and dangerous social media challenge, reported WAGA-TV.

According to the university police report obtained by WAGA-TV, video footage helped police connect Georgia Bulldogs player Warren Brinson to an attack on three students. The students were reported saying they were shot with what they thought was a BB gun while walking on campus, according to WAGA-TV.

The "Orbeez Challenge" is a TikTok trend that police have been warning communities about. It encourages people to shoot strangers with small gel-like beads that expand when placed in water. Orbeez creates the beads and the gun separately, but they're not meant to hurt. Kids have been putting the beads into replica guns.
