A high wind warning was issued for counties in the far northwest and far north central Georgia regions. According to the weather service, wind gusts in these areas could climb up to 50 mph.

Meredith Wyatt, a meteorologist with the weather service, told Patch Wednesday the rainy weather Friday is due to a cold front moving in from the northwest. She said all hazards are possible for metro Atlanta.

Temperatures are expected to rise to the upper 70s Friday and drop to highs in the upper 60s and lows in the 4os Saturday and Sunday.
