The League of Women Voters of Marietta-Cobb will celebrate their 60th anniversary on Saturday, May 17 at our annual meeting. Elisabeth MacNamara, president of the National League of Women Voters, will be the featured speaker. Ms. MacNamara will share information about the League's national efforts on various issues, including voting rights. The program will also include Cathy Kaemmerlen's dramatization of the trial of Susan B. Anthony who was accused of illegally voting in the 1872 presidential election. The cost of the brunch and event is $16 per person and is open to the public. The event will be held from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM at Cosmopolitan Restaurant in Marietta. Reservations are required.
