Staff Report

The City of Acworth is pleased to announce the 4th Annual Scarecrow Parade on Main Street in Historic Downtown Acworth! This year’s theme is “Scarecrows from Around the World” and each scarecrow represents a different country, festival or tradition from around the world. This year the parade has more scarecrows on display than ever before and the competition only grows stronger each year.

Each year, entries are judged and winners are chosen for three categories; Most Creative, Best Representation of the Theme, and Best Overall. The winners of the 2014 Scarecrow Parade are; Most Creative: The Acworth Young Aldermen, portraying the Dia de Muertos, Best Overall: The Acworth Achievers, portraying Egypt, and Best Representation of the Theme: Mrs. Blakeney/Mrs. Harris’s Class from Acworth Elementary, portraying Columbia.
