Cobb Travel & Tourism Celebrates Successes of 2014

Several local businesses and government organizations were recognized for promoting the county as a place to live, work, and play.

Cobb Travel & Tourism celebrated its 22nd Annual Meeting and Mixer with partners and friends at The Georgian Club on Thursday, November 13.

The event highlighted Cobb Travel & Tourism’s 2014 accomplishments, recognized the one-year anniversary of the Cobb Sports Alliance and featured Cobb’s Camera Ready initiative.

Special Spot-On Awards were given out to four partners for their exceptional support of Cobb Travel & Tourism and the Cobb Sports Alliance over the past year. Kim Watt of Acworth Parks and Recreation won the Hospitality Hero of the Year, Drury Inn & Suites Atlanta Northwest won the Hotel Partner of the Year, Fifth Third Bank Stadium won the Attraction of the Year and the Restaurant of the Year went to Old Vinings Inn.

“We were thrilled to give these awards to fantastic partners that have truly demonstrated their support over the past year,” said Holly Bass, CEO of Cobb Travel & Tourism. “Their contributions to Cobb Travel & Tourism and the Cobb Sports Alliance make a difference for the hospitality community and Cobb County.”

Travel and tourism is Cobb’s largest industry at $2.1 billion and employs more than 30,000 people.
