Cornerstone Prep Basketball Clinches Region Championship

Congratulations to the Cornerstone Prep Varsity Boys Basketball team for winning the region championship! The Cougars defeated Unity Christian by a score of 60-44 in the region championship game on Friday, February 6. The team's overall record was 15-8 going into post-season play.

This season has been special for Head Coach Matt Bledsoe, as he is not only the coach but father to one of eight seniors on this year's roster. "We are thankful for the success we have had on the basketball court this season and even more grateful for the way our boys have honored and glorified Christ throughout this process of growth as individuals and as a team." It's also been a full circle moment for the team as this group of boys won their Middle School Championship back in 2022.

Cornerstone Prep is a member of GAPPS, the Georgia Association of Private and Parochial Schools. The mission of GAPPS is to unite Christ-Centered Schools, Independent Schools and Learning Centers in an environment where students can compete at their levels yet still be encouraged to grow in their faith.

The Cougars will host Horizon Christian for the quarter final round on Friday, February 13 @6:30. If they win the quarter final game, they will play on February 19 @1:30 at Gordon State College for a chance to play in the championship game on February 21. Good luck Cougars!
