Free Admission to Georgia State Parks on "Your State Parks Day"

Every state park and historic site in Georgia will have free admission on Sept. 27. Some parks will have fun events and service projects.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources is hosting “Your State Parks Day” on Sept. 27.

According to the department’s website, the event will feature “free admission, dozens of volunteer projects and family-friendly events.” Your State Parks Day is Georgia’s localized version of National Public Lands Day.

The event is designed to showcase state parks and historic areas, the ways in which they benefit their communities, and how you can get involved to help keep state parks beautiful.
