Georgia Will Temporarily Suspend Online Child Support Payments

The Department of Human Services' Division of Child Support Services is transitioning to a new payment vendor.

Georgians who pay their child support online will have to go to their local child support offices to submit their payments next week, as the state transitions to a new online payment processing center.

The Associated Press reports that online payment processing will be unavailable from Sept. 23 to Sept. 27, while the Department of Human Services’ Division of Child Support Services switches to the new vendor. Online applications for child support will still be available for download during this time, but must be submitted in person.

The system should begin to return to normal after 12 p.m. on Sept. 27.
