Mableton Woman Arrested in Sandy Springs Double Murder

A Mableton woman has been charged in connection to the killing of two men in Sandy Springs.
Police in Mobile, Ala., arrested 25-year old Zusi Aguirre last week and she remains in custody at the Mobile County, Ala., Sheriff’s Office, the Sandy Springs Police Department said in a press release.

Aguirre is charged with felony murder, armed robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. Information on the shooting was given to investigators after the woman was stopped for traffic charges in Mobile, Sandy Springs police Sgt. Ron Momon stated.
Jail records indicate Aguirre was booked into the Mobile County Jail just after 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 and she is awaiting extradition back to Georgia, Momon added.

Two men — 23-year old Byron Caseres of Norcross and 27-year old Freddie Vega of Sandy Springs — were found shot to death around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 14 inside Vega’s apartment unit at the Sovereign Place Apartments, located at 200 Franklin Road.
