MUST Ministries Hosts Free Health Fair for those Living in Homelessness

Giving those living in poverty and homelessness an opportunity to receive free health education and screenings as well as same day results.

Aug. 3 MARIETTA, GA--- While people living in poverty are often unaware of their health conditions due to their inability to afford the cost of a checkup, MUST Ministries is partnering with several organizations to provide free health screenings and tests. Participants will be informed of their health status following the screenings on Aug. 13, from 9-11:30 a.m. at the Elizabeth Inn Shelter in Marietta.

MUST clients can expect important health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol check, chiropractic adjustments and education, dental screenings, HIV testing, Hepatitis testing and vision screenings. Other services include general health risk assessments, general health information, nutrition information and a variety of tests for health risks.

“Last year MUST launched the Health Fair and we had a great turnout,” says Virginia Standifer, MUST Ministries Volunteer Coordinator. “The overall wellness of our clients is very important to us, so we hope to see a lot of people take advantage of this infrequent opportunity and come out that day.”
