NCCS Stuffs Bus for Tornado Victims
North Cobb Christian School delivered goods to tornado victims in Ringgold Monday.
A bus stuffed with school supplies and paper products left in Kennesaw on Monday to help residents in Ringgold still reeling from tornadoes which hit their north Georgia town.
Grant Barger, a senior at NCCS, is the grandson of Ringgold Mayor Joe Barger, and said he knew his school would come to the aid of the town’s tornado victims.
He said his grandfather has been going non-stop to help residents of the town since the April 27 storms hit.

“He has not been getting a lot of sleep lately,” said Grant of his grandfather, who told the teen of the need for school supplies for students displaced from their classrooms. Several NCCS seniors and school staff traveled up on the bus to personally deliver the items and see some of the devastation up close.
School officials said they were amazed yet saddened at the damage done, and the thought that so many families lost their homes, jobs and loved ones in the storm laid heavy on their hearts.
